The education system in the UK has always been a tricky thing to balance – Governments come and go with their own ideas and ‘flavour’ into the mix, often resulting in yet more confusion for those on the receiving end.
One very obvious area of the curriculum to have taken a beating in recent times is the value (or rather the lack of value) placed on developing creative skills in our children. Often squashed out of the timetable in favour of more ‘important’ subjects such as Maths or English.
